A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an Easement Agreement with Paragon Star, LLC, of Lee's Summit, MO, to allow for various easements related to the construction and development of Paragon Star Village Sports Complex, across portions of the Little Blue Trace and Rock Island Trail, at no cost to the County.

Body
WHEREAS, the execution of various easements are necessary for the development of Paragon Star Village Sports Complex, currently being constructed at the intersection of I-470 and View High Drive in Jackson County by Paragon Star, LLC; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Easement Agreement will grant one access easement, eight drainage easements, two sidewalk easements, and various temporary construction easements across portions of the Little Blue Trace and Rock Island Trail to Paragon Star, LLC, and trail easements back to the County for future extensions of the Little Blue Trace Trail, and construction of a 10' wide concrete path connecting the existing Rock Island Trail to the Paragon Star Village; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of the attached Easement Agreement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached Easement Agreement is approved and that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County the attached Easement Agreement and any other documents necessary to give effect to this Resolution.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
