Body
WHEREAS, the County is planning a Holiday Lighting Event at the Historic Truman Courthouse located on the Independence Square, to be held November 15, 2014, at a cost to the County not to exceed $3,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, the attached agreement with Harvest Productions of North Kansas City, Missouri, includes indemnification language that requires the approval of the Legislature; and,
WHEREAS, execution of the attached Agreement for the holiday lighting event at the Historic Truman Courthouse on November 15, 2014, is in the best interests of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Agreement with Harvest Productions, at a cost to the County not to exceed $3,500.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
