Body
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has certain personal property, to wit a windmill,
that has become excess to the County's needs; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Purchasing Director has declared this property surplus; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 46-96 for the sale
of this windmill; and,
WHEREAS, the only bid received was from Lana Clark of Oak Grove, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Lana Clark of Oak
Grove, MO, in the amount of $204.76 for the reason that he has submitted the highest and best bid;
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the windmill be
and hereby is declared surplus; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Purchasing is hereby authorized to dispose of
said surplus property by way of sale to the highest bidder; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director,
and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any
documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the
Legislature.
