Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation recommends that the County enter into a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Independence to cooperate in the design and construction of 3.5 miles of new trail along the Little Blue Trace, adjacent to the City of Independence; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the City will be jointly responsible for the design and construction of these improvements; and,
WHEREAS, such agreement is in the best interests of and mutually advantageous to the County and the City; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Cooperative Agreement with the City of Independence.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
