Body
WHEREAS, various County Departments have need for the use of shredding services; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 25-035 for the furnishing of shredding services; and,
WHEREAS, a total of one hundred seventy-six (176) notifications were distributed, and one (1) response was received and evaluated from Midwest Shredding Service, LLC of Kansas City, MO; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Sheriff and the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend the award of a twenty-four-month term and supply contract, with one twelve-month option to extend for the furnishing of shredding services for use by various County departments under the terms and conditions of Bid No. 25-035 to Midwest Shredding Service, LLC of Kansas City, MO, as the lowest and best bid received; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation, with an estimated annual usage of $46,200.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
