Body
WHEREAS, the County Counselor recommends the authorization to execute a Legal Services Agreement with Seyferth Blumenthal & Harris LLC of Kansas City, MO to provide legal investigation services to the County in certain new and ongoing matters; and,
WHEREAS, this Legal Services Agreement is for the furnishing of services related to investigation matters, and not to exceed $48,000.00 for services; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Counselor be and hereby is authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement with the lawyers and/or law firms identified in this Resolution, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $48,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments, on the Agreement and Addendums.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
