Body
WHEREAS, the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center is sponsoring a program which will bring Dr. Bill Cosby to two high schools in the Kansas City, Missouri, school district on January 8, 2007, to speak with students about goal setting and how to use resources to achieve the goals; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to Dr. Cosby's program, a member of the COMBAT staff will participate in a workshop on substance abuse issues; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's office has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center at a cost to the County not to exceed $3,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
