Body
WHEREAS, Jason Curtis Gooch of Independence, Missouri, departed this life on November 5, 2007; and,

WHEREAS, Jason was born April 11, 1984, in Independence, MO; and,

WHEREAS, Jason was a member of Boy Scout Troop 383, was awarded his Eagle Scout honor on November 23, 1998, and was a Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say; and,

WHEREAS, Jason graduated from William Chrisman High School in 2002, going on to complete his associate’s degree from Blue River Community College;

WHEREAS, Jason had started in the Nursing Program at William Jewel College, and was expected to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in December 2007 from the University of Central Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, Jason was a dedicated servant of the community, volunteering his time last summer at Camp Quality of Kansas City (camp for children with cancer); and,

WHEREAS, Jason is survived by his parents, Mark and Wanda Gooch, his sister, Christen Gooch, a niece, Hannah, his grandmother, Anne C. Gooch, his girlfriend, Sarah Kalousek, and her daughter, Adriana, and an abundance of close friends and relatives; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby recognizes Jason Curtis Gooch, and extends its deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and colleagues upon the occasion of his untimely death.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
