Body
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit North High School Cheerleaders took first place in their regional competition and went on to tie with the Lee's Summit West High School Cheerleaders to win the Class 5 Missouri State Cheerleading Championship, held October 5, 2014, at the University of Missouri - Columbia; and,
WHEREAS, this is the fourth state title for the Lee's Summit North Cheerleaders; and,
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit North Cheerleading squad is led by Coaches Natalie Forte, Morgan Defreece, and Whitney Sheill, all former Lee's Summit North cheerleaders; and,
WHEREAS, the varsity team members are Ryleigh Watson, Ali Howe, Amanda Luzum, Alyssa Watts, Kirsten Livak, Courtney Goldmon, Alexia Diamond, Savannah Pottinger, Katie Kubiak, Danielle Zammar, Haley Ruddell, Porsha Lewis, Jessica Whitmore, Caitlin Olson, Kayla Bock, Bailey White, Gabby Rickett, Halle Smith, and Kylea Roberts; and,
WHEREAS, high school cheerleading squads strive to boost school spirit, promote good sportsmanship, and develop positive crowd involvement; and,
WHEREAS, the parents and classmates of the Lee's Summit North High School Cheerleaders are proud of the team's outstanding showing in the tournament; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates the Lee's Summit North High School Cheerleaders on winning the Missouri State Cheerleading Championship.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
