Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Jackson County Code section 9140. the Legislature may authorize by resolution a contract with one or more qualified experts to advise the Board of Equalization; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 9141. of the Jackson County Code the Legislative Auditor has heretofo e prepared a request for proposals and has mailed same to selected, interested parties; and,
WHEREAS, the selection committee provided by section 9142. of the Jackson County Code, consisting f the Finance and Audit Committee and the Manager of Division of Finance, with the aid of Legislat ve Auditor, has solicited advisors and has recommended the retention of John C. Garrett and Charli Franklin to provide services as advisors to the Board of Equalization in accordance with the prof ssional service agreements, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by referen e, at a cost to the County not to exceed the sum total of $15,000.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that said professional servi es agreement are approved, and the Chairman of the Jackson County Legislature, or his designee is uthorized to execute the agreements on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payme ts including final payment on the contracts.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
