Body
WHEREAS, the City of Lee's Summit desires to sublease a 25+ acre tract at Blue Springs Lake for the development of a neighborhood park; and,
WHEREAS, the City plans to develop walking trails, a playground, parking area, restroom, and a small amphitheater; and,
WHEREAS, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers has reviewed and approved the project; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri have negotiated the attached agreement, at no cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of this Agreement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Lease Agreement with the City of Lee's Summit, MO.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
