Body
WHEREAS, Section 1040.2 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when the goods or services to be acquired are available from another governmental entity; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Corrections recommends a contract with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department for the furnishing of training services for use by the Department of Corrections; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends that he not take competitive bids with regard to said contract for the reason that the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department is another governmental entity as set out in 1040.1; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County a contract with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department for the furnishing of training services for use by the Department of Corrections, in an amount not to exceed $6,700.00; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract thereby made.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
