RESOLUTION #10690, February 21, 1995 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, Southwestern Bell Telephone is the provider of the E-911 telephone service for the major part of the County; and,

WHEREAS, Southwestern Bell has provided the Kansas City Police and Fire Departments with an estimate of a cost not to exceed $13,000.00 for the moving of their E-911 equipment from their existing communications centers to the soon-to-be-opened joint communications center at 1111 Locust in Kansas City; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County that the County authorize Southwestern Bell to move the E-911 equipment; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the amendment to the contract for E-911 telephone service with Southwestern Bell Telephone be and hereby is approved; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make payment on the amendment, in an amount not to exceed $13,000.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
