WHEREAS, the County has been awarded a grant in the amount of $49,000.00 from the State of Missouri's Department of Public Safety to fund the Prosecuting Attorney's Community Plan - Prevention/Prosecution of Sexual Assault in Jackson County program; and,

WHEREAS, this grant is subject to a $28,153.75 local match; and,

WHEREAS, an appropriation and transfer are necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the proper accounts; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of and transfer within the 1999 General Fund be and hereby are made:
