Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 90-96 for an elevator addition and improvements at the Jackson County Detention Center; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following:
VENDOR BID
Messina Builders & Contractors Co., Inc. $402,834.00
North Kansas City, MO

Jenkins & Associates, Inc. $441,369.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Vision Construction Co. $494,000.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO


and,


WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Messina Builders & Contractors Co., Inc., of North Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
