A RESOLUTION authorizing the payment of $14,000.00 to the Blue Springs School District No. 4 from within the 2006 Special Road and Bridge Fund as the County's share of costs pursuant to an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the City of Blue Springs, MO, and Blue Springs School District No. 4 in conjunction with improvements to North-South Liggett Road, Project No. 3053, previously authorized by Resolution 15816.

Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 15816, dated March 13, 2006, the County, the City of Blue Springs, and Blue Springs School District No. 4 entered into an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement to equally share all costs incurred for the re-design and construction of North-South Liggett Road, Project No. 3053; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has received documentation of Project expenses incurred by the Blue Springs School District; and,
WHEREAS, under the Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement, the County's share of said expenses is $14,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends the issuance of a one-time lump sum payment of $14,000.00 payable to the Blue Springs School District; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to issue a one-time lump sum payment of $14,000.00 payable to the City of Blue Springs, Blue Springs School District No. 4, in conjunction with improvements to North-South Liggett Road, Project No. 3053.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
