Body
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City's Neighborhood and Community Service Department has requested COMBAT matching funds in the amount of $50,000.00 to be used to assist youth activities identified by the Department's Neighborhood Improvement Plan Initiative; and,

WHERE AS, in exchange for the matching funds, the City of Kansas City's Neighborhood and Community Service Department has agreed to reallocate funds from its portion of the 2006-2007 Justice Assistance Grant towards the COMBAT-sponsored MyArts program; and,

WHEREAS, this collaboration will result in a distribution of $75,000.00 to the MyArts program and $25,000.00 to be used towards another youth initiative under the City of Kansas City, Missouri's Neighborhood Improvement program; and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's office has carefully reviewed this proposal from the City of Kansas City and recommends the expenditure of these funds; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kansas City, Neighborhood and Community Service Department, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor, at a cost to the County not to exceed $50,000.00; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all paymen...
