Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2913, dated April 12, 1999, the County Legislature authorized the County Executive to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the Board of Police Commissioners of Kansas City, MO, for the Midwest H.I.D.T.A. Kansas City Metropolitan Enforcement Initiative Task Force, whereunder the Board reimburses the County for 100% of the salary of an assistant prosecuting attorney; and,
WHEREAS, since that time, the Memorandum has been extended six times, most recently through July 31, 2003, via Resolution 14325, dated September 30, 2002; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place remaining grant funds in the appropriate spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation as an amendment to her proposed 2003 County budget; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:
