Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3791, dated July 24, 2006, the Legislature did approve the 2006 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG), received from the U. S. Department of Justice; and,
 
WHEREAS, the County and the U.S. Department of Justice now desire to extend the grant to continue to provide funding for salaries and benefits for the employees of the Jackson County Drug Court Program for the period of October 1, 2009, through March 31, 2010, at no additional cost to the County; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the extension to March 31, 2010, for the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG), received from the U. S. Department of Justice, be and hereby is approved.
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
