Body
WHEREAS, Truman High School freshman Kevin Pond has successfully completed all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin, is the son of Bruce and Irene Pond of Independence, MO; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin worked tirelessly on his Eagle service project, researching plans and building four wood duck nesting boxes and four bat colony houses for animal habitat and insect control for the Leo E. Kohler Constructed Wetlands and Storm Water Management Project at the Jackson County Public Works Maintenance Facility; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to his commitment to Scouting, Kevin enjoys snow skiing, piano, and paint ball; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin's future plans include college and medical school, after which he plans to become an orthopedic surgeon; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Kevin Pond upon successfully completing all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and extends well- deserved recognition for his contributions to the Jackson County community.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
