Body
WHEREAS, the Road and Bridge Division of the Public Works Department has a need for the installation of a flat bed, lift system, and storage toolbox equipment into a County-owned sign truck to assist in maintaining and servicing County signs; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 25-11 for said equipment purchase and installation; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-three notifications were distributed and two responses were received as follows:
BIDDER BID
American Equipment Co. $39,837.00
Kansas City, KS
Mynatt Truck & Equipment Co. $75,837.00
Olathe, KS
and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids the Director of Finance and Purchasing has recommended that award be made to American Equipment Co. of Kansas City, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Director be, and is hereby authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
