Body
WHEREAS, the Circuit Court has requested the County explore the possibility of providing a second courtroom for the probate division; and,

WHEREAS, the conceptual plan will reconfigure areas of the 9th floor of the downtown Kansas City Courthouse to allow all probate functions to be consolidated on one floor, to better meet the Probate Division's needs; and,

WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to cover the cost of architectural and engineering services to develop a specific plan and cost estimates for the construction; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the fund balance of 2010 General Fund be and hereby is made:
