RESOLUTION #17013, September 28, 2009

INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator


Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 35-09 for the furnishing of excess workers' compensation and employer's liability insurance; and,

WHEREAS, a total of twenty-nine (29) notifications were distributed, and one response was received as follows:
Vendor Rate per $100 of Payroll
Corporate Insurance Group, Inc. $0.2234
Overland Park, KS

and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends award be made to Corporate Insurance Group, Inc., of Overland Park, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
