Body
WHEREAS,
105.476, RSMo 1994, gives the Legislature the power to adopt reasonable restrictions to govern the conduct of former county officers and employees regarding current county business and decisions; and,

WHEREAS,
739. of the Jackson County Code currently contains such a restriction with regard to property tax matters; and,

WHEREAS, the adoption of additional restrictions, identical to those already found in state law, a e in the best interest of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section A. Enacting Clause. Sections 739. and 950., Jackson County Code, 1984, are hereby repealed and two new sections enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as sections 906. and 950., to r ad as follows:

[739. Former Employees and Elected Officials.
No managing officer or supervisory personnel or elected officials of Jackson County,
Missouri shall perform any service for consideration as an employee of a company
or as an individual during a period of five (5) years after termination of the
employment of that person with Jackson County, Missouri, by which performance
that person attempts to influence a decision of the Assessment Operations Sections
of the Property Tax Division or before the Board of Equalization in an adversary
hearing before that board may be defined by Section 105.450(1) RSMo (1978). This
