Body
WHEREAS, Jack Miller is retiring after many dedicated years to the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers, Local 27; and,

WHEREAS, Jack will end his career as business manager of Local 27 on June 29, 2001; and,

WHEREAS, he joined the union in 1969, and since that time has served as foreman, general foreman, and superintendent; and,

WHEREAS, he served as business agent from 1989 to 1996 and became business manager in 1996, serving until his retirement; and,

WHEREAS, Jack is not only an outstanding businessman, but an exceptional craftsman as well, with the ability to build anything, even if it means crafting a part from scratch to do so; and,

WHEREAS, born to George Bernard "Bernie" and Eva AnnaMae "Evie" of Ava, Missouri, Jack was number 14 of 15 children; and,

WHEREAS, Jack and his wife of 20 years, Deb, have four children, Phillip, Stacey, Missy, and Caina, two stepchildren, Solonnie and Bobby, and 16 grandchildren ranging in age from 17 to 4; and,

WHEREAS, since 1991, Jack has been a member of Sterling Acres Baptist Church where he serves on several committees, sings with the choir, and goes on the annual mission trip with "Workers for Christ;" and,

WHEREAS, Jack has displayed professionalism and exemplary service during his tenure with the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers, Local 27 and will be fondly remembered by friends and co-workers; and,
