Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4085, dated February 2, 2009, the Jackson County Legislature did appropriate $255,410.00 from the fund balance of the 2009 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund to execute agreements with certain outside agencies which engage in anti-drug prevention activities for the purpose of preventing illegal drug use and drug-related offenses, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $1,715,067.00; and,

WHEREAS, the COMBAT administration now desires to enter into an agreement with Prospect Corridor Initiative for the purpose of preventing illegal drug use and drug-related offenses through its Green Acres Community Building Project, at a cost to the County not to exceed $10,000.00; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute an agreement with Prospect Corridor Initiative at a cost to the County not to exceed $10,000.00 and in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.


Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
