INTRODUCED BY Henry C. Rizzo, Dan Tarwater, Theresa Garza Ruiz, Fred Arbanas, Scott Burnett, James D. Tindall and Dennis Waits, County Legislators


Body
WHEREAS, the Greater Kansas City Building and Construction Trades Council is the agent for certain county employees to meet and confer with the County about salaries, benefits, rates of wages, hours of work, working conditions and procedures for the settlement of differences as those matters related to said employees; and,

WHEREAS, the County and the Council negotiated a Memorandum of Understanding, adopted May 12, 2008, for the purpose of establishing salaries, rates of wages, hours of work, working conditions, and procedures for the settlement of differences; and,

WHEREAS, the County and the Council now request an amendment relating to benefits as a correction to the Memorandum of Understanding; and,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute the Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the County in a form to be approved by the County Counselor.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
