Body
WHEREAS, the County recognizes the need to fight the war against drugs in eastern Jackson County; and,

WHEREAS, the County and the City of Independence desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, whereby the City of Independence will purchase two canines, training, and equipment for use by the Independence Police Department in its fight against drugs in eastern Jackson County; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the agreement between Jackson County and the City of Independence be, and is hereby approved, said agreement being attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute said agreement; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
