Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17103, dated December 11, 2009, the Legislature did authorize the execution of an agreement with Resource Development Institute of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, under the terms and conditions of Request for Proposal No. 36-09; and,

WHEREAS, COMBAT desires to extend the Agreement four additional months to allow the agency to finalize submission of grant applications for anti-gang initiatives, at no additional cost to the County; and,

WHEREAS, this extension is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an extension to the agreement with Resource Development Institute, at no additional cost to the County in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
