Body
WHEREAS, the County previously entered into an agreement with the Missouri Department of Transportation for the replacement of the Buckner-Tarsney Road Bridge, County Project No. 2264; and,

WHEREAS, the design of the project requires the temporary closure of Buckner-Tarsney Road and the construction of a temporary detour; and,

WHEREAS, an agreement has been reached between the County and the City of Grain Valley under which the County will apply the funds in the actual amount of $120,900.00 set aside for the detour toward a proposed permanent city street in Grain Valley which would be built coinciding with the Buckner-Tarsney Road Project; and,

WHEREAS, federal funds will also be distributed through the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission for this project; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Grain Valley has agreed to allow the County to use the new and existing street as a temporary detour until such time as the Buckner-Tarsney Road reopens; and,

WHEREAS, the attached Utilization and Construction Agreement provides a suitable mechanism to implement this project; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached Agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the County; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract...Attorney
