Body
WHEREAS, in 1986 Curtis Dale Lashley was appointed as Assistant General Counsel/Special Assistant Attorney General for the Missouri Department of Revenue; and,

WHEREAS, in 1989 he was appointed to Associate Counsel and in 1992 he was promoted to Senior Counsel; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Lashley has served as an Administrative Hearing Officer since 1995 and Special Assistant Prosecutor for Jackson County since 1990, and,

WHEREAS, he has served as trial counsel for the Director of Revenue in numerous court of appeals and Missouri Supreme Court cases, assisting law enforcement in its efforts against drunk drivers on Missouri streets; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Lashley has assisted in the training of prosecutors, police officers, and judges and has served as a liaison between the Missouri Department fo Revenue and the Kansas City Missouri Police Department Legal Advisor's Office; and,
WHEREAS, he has devoted more than 15 years of his career assisting law enforcement officers and prosecutors in handling hundreds of administrative DWI and chemical refusal cases in western Missouri, including cases arising out of arrests by Kansas City Missouri police officers in Platte, Clay, and Jackson Counties; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature commends Curtis Dale Lashley for his many accomplishments and his dedication to the citizens of Jackson County while serving as Senior Counsel for the Missouri Department of Revenue and Special Assistant Jackson County Prosecutor.
