Body
WHEREAS, in connection with the construction of the Vehicle Service Center Storage Building, Project No. 3112, the Director of Public Works has solicited formal written bids pursuant to Bid No. PW-02-2009; and,

WHEREAS, he has received fourteen bids thereon, with the lowest three bids as follows:

Olathe, KS

Larrison Construction, Inc. $523,264.50
Independence, MO

Jonkman Construction, LLC $574,322.61
Kansas City, MO

and,



WHEREAS, the Legislature has determined Larrison Construction, Inc., of Independence, MO, while not the lowest bidder, has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,

WHEREAS, in the event that line item adjustments to the contract become necessary, it is appropriate that the Director of Public Works be authorized to approve said line item adjustments to the extent there is no additional cost to the County; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to cover a portion of the construction costs; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 2009 Public Building Corporation Fund:
