Body
WHEREAS, it was with great sorrow that family and friends learned of the death of Carl Everett Carlson; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Carlson worked as an accountant for Poindexter Wholesale Co. in Kansas City, Missouri and also owned and operated the Lee's Summit Coast to Coast store; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Carlson had many political ties to the area and served on the Legislature from January 1, 1973 to December 31, 1974; and,
WHEREAS, he also had served as a state representative and mayor of Greenwood; and,
WHEREAS, he was a charter member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Lee's Summit; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Carlson is survived by his wife, Marguerite, son and daughter-in-law Ralph and Rosalie Carlson, and grandsons Nicholas and Micah Carlson, and was preceded in death by two sons, David and Harry Carlson; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Carlson will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby extends its deepest sympathy to family and friends of Carl Everett Carlson, upon the occasion of his death.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
