Body
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Arts Institute was founded in 2011, with a vision to provide quality arts education, mentorship, leadership development, and creative opportunities for youth throughout the Kansas City community; and,

WHEREAS, for fifteen years, the Comprehensive Arts Institute has dedicated itself to empowering young people through music, creativity, discipline, collaboration, and artistic excellence, creating safe and inspiring spaces where students can grow in confidence and purpose; and,

WHEREAS, under the leadership of James and Angela Ward, the organization has impacted countless families, students, educators, and community members through performances, workshops, mentorship programs, and cultural enrichment initiatives; and,

WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Arts Institute has remained committed to preserving the rich tradition of jazz, creative expression, and community leadership of Kansas City, while preparing future generations to thrive artistically, academically, and personally; and,

WHEREAS, the organization has cultivated opportunities for youth who may not otherwise have access to high-quality instruction, encouraging excellence, self-expression, teamwork, leadership, and lifelong learning; and,

WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Arts Institute continues to serve as a cultural and educational beacon within Kansas City by bringing together students, families, artists, educators, and supporters in celebration of music, creativity, and community impact; and,
