AN ORDINANCE appropriating $45,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2002 Domestic Abuse Fund to support local agencies in their fight against domestic violence.

Body
WHEREAS, Collections in the County's Domestic Abuse Fund have exceeded projections;
and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place these additional funds in the
appropriate spending account for distribution to the agencies which utilize them; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation as an amendment to her
2002 proposed County budget; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2002 Domestic Abuse Fund be and hereby is made:
