Body
WHEREAS, the Kansas City, Missouri Water Department is currently constructing a 54" diameter water transmission main that will serve the cities of Raytown, Lee's Summit, and Greenwood; and,
WHEREAS, the alignment of the main runs through a portion of the Sports Complex Park which is owned by Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City is requesting a temporary construction easement and a 30' wide permanent water line easement to run the main through the County's property, for which the City will pay the County $40,014.50; and,
WHEREAS, to effect this construction, the City and the County have negotiated the attached agreement; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached agreement is hereby approved, and that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached agreement on behalf of the County...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
