Body
WHEREAS, the County has a need for right-of-way and a temporary construction easement in connection with the Colbern Road Phase II Project, No. 2411; and,
WHEREAS, the owners of the necessary property, James W. Riffe and Machelle H. Riffe, have agreed to convey to the County the requested right-of-way and easement, copies of which are attached hereto, for the payment of the sum of $30,000; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Public Works recommends acceptance of the easements upon the specified terms; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached right-of-way and temporary easement, be and hereby are accepted and that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is directed to issue a lump sum payment in the amount of $30,000.00 to James W. Riffe and Machelle H. Riffe in consideration for said easements, pursuant to the specific direction of the County Counselor.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
