Body
WHEREAS, the University of Missouri at Kansas City's UMKC Additions Technology Transfer Center has the mission in increase the knowledge and skills of addiction treatment practitioners by facilitating access to state-of-the art research and education resources, to improve outcomes of COMBAT-funded initiatives; and,
WHEREAS, the University has requested $77,536.00 in local matching funds to secure its 2002-03 grant from the United States Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) in the amount of $1,309,758.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has carefully reviewed this proposal from the University and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement, with the Curators of the University of Missouri; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on this Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
