Body
WHEREAS, Kyle Gilmore, Heman Martin, Kyle Harrison, Kevin Selzer, and Erin Yeager have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
WHEREAS, in recognition of their high achievement, Kyle, Heman, Kyle, Kevin, and Erin will have their Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Sunday, January 23, 2000, at the Oakwood Baptist Church on Lee's Summit Road; and,
WHEREAS, to earn their rank of Eagle Scout, each of these young men held one or more leadership positions with Troop 42, including scribe, quartermaster, assistant patrol leader, patrol leader, and senior patrol leader, and each is a warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say; and,
WHEREAS, not only have these five young men been active in church, school, and community affairs, but each of them have organized a community service project for the troop involving between 60-150 volunteer hours by the youth and parents; and,
WHEREAS, Troop 42, established April 1, 1975, and led by scout master Dr. Joseph Mackey, currently serves approximately 100 youth in the Lee's Summit area; and,
WHEREAS, sincere congratulations are hereby extended to Kyle, Heman, Kyle, Kevin, and Erin for their outstanding achievements and for their hard work and diligence; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Kyle Gilmore, Heman Martin, Kyle Harrison, Kevin Selzer, and Erin Yeager, upon becoming Eagle Scouts.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
