Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County Veterans of Foreign Wars commemorates all of the deceased by serving the living; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County VFW has set "Buddy Poppy Days" for May 20-21, 1994; and,
WHEREAS, over 5,000 VFW members and 2,000 members of the Auxiliary will represent Fourth District Posts 18, 398, 1219, 1659, 1829, 2069, 5152, 7178, 7900, 9762, and 11520, and Fifth District Posts 30, 302, 1000, 1738, 2171, 3976, 4242, 5701, 5789, 6272, 6603, 6649, 6840, 8100, 8101, and 9997 at Buddy Poppy Days; and,
WHEREAS, all donations made for Buddy Poppies are for veteran relief purposes and a relief fund is established and maintained by these posts; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that May 20-21, 1994 be proclaimed as Buddy Poppy Days in Jackson County, Missouri.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
