Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff recommends that the County enter into an agreement with twelve municipalities within the County, collectively referred to as the Jackson County Traffic Safety Task Force, for the purpose of providing additional resources during times of emergency to reduce the number of traffic violations within Jackson County; and,

WHEREAS, the Sheriff and the Jackson County Traffic Safety Task Force have negotiated the attached Mutual Assistance Agreement, which sets out the framework by which to implement this cooperative effort; and,

WHEREAS, the execution of the Mutual Assistance Agreement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute the attached Mutual Assistance Agreement on behalf of the County.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
