Body
WHEREAS, Boys and Girls Club of Eastern Jackson County's Drug Prevention/Education/Employment program provides drug prevention, education, and career development programs to youth between the ages of 6 ½ and 18; and,
WHEREAS, Boys and Girls Club of Eastern Jackson County has received a grant from the Boys and Girls of America in the amount of $50,000.00 for this program; and,
WHEREAS, Boys and Girls Club of Eastern Jackson County has requested anti-drug sales tax matching funds in the amount of $50,000.00 for this program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends matching funding in the amount of $50,000.00 from his grant match account; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement with Boys and Girls Club of Eastern Jackson County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
