Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public Safety has awarded a Victim Services Advocates Grant in the amount of $34,210.00 to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to cover the salary and benefits for a victim advocate for its Victim Services Program; and,

WHEREAS, this grant is subject to a $8,553.00 local match; and,

WHEREAS, an appropriation and transfer are necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the appropriate spending accounts; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation and transfer; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2003 General Fund and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2003 Grant Fund be and hereby are made:
