Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission was empowered by Ordinances 1771, 1795, and 1941 to make recommendations to the Legislature for the expenditure of Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds for the purposes of treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders; and,

WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has reviewed a proposal from Comprehensive Mental Health Services; and,

WHEREAS, this proposal from Comprehensive Mental Health Services is a six-month pilot program designed to provide residential treatment services for adolescents affected by illegal drug abuse; and,

WHEREAS, this program is a collaborative effort involving the Pan Educational Institute and school drug coordinators; and,

WHEREAS, this program arises out of the recognition that there are limited adolescent treatment programs in Eastern Jackson County; and,

WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has carefully reviewed this proposal from Comprehensive Mental Health Services; and,

WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has recommended funding in the amount of $26,300 from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund for this proposal; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chair of the Fiscal Commission is hereby authorized to execute into the attached Agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with Comprehensive Mental Health Services; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby ...
