Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County is committed to providing a "Model Work Environment" for its employees, i.e. a work environment that is productive and hospitable, with a workforce reflective of the area's diversity; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive has taken steps to make sure such an environment is in place, by offering workplace diversity training to County managers; and,
WHEREAS, the next step toward a Model Work Environment is to survey managers and employees in key departments, to determine employee attitudes and the effectiveness of current procedures; and,
WHEREAS, The Diversity Committee has proposed to conduct such a survey for the County and to report its findings, which will then provide the basis for an action plan, at a cost not to exceed $11,500.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that an Agreement with The Diversity Committee is hereby approved in a form to be approved by the County Counselor consistent with the attached proposal; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
