Intro
RESOLUTION #10864, June 5, 1995 INTRODUCED BY James D. Tindall, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, Clement Triplett, also known as Reverend Triplett or Brother Trip to the community, is a ative of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and,

WHEREAS, Reverend Triplett received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Lincoln University in Jeff rson City, MO, Master's Degree in School Administration from Central Missouri State University in arrensburg, MO, and reading certification from the University of Missouri at Kansas City; and,

WHEREAS, as an educator, Reverend Triplett has been a classroom teacher, resource individual in th S.T.E.P.S. program, worker in the District's central office, and his last position upon retiremen was that of Basic Skills Specialist in the Chapter One Program at K. B. Richardson Computers Unli ited Magnet School; and,

WHEREAS, in addition to serving as an educator, Reverend Triplett has for many years performed in he gospel music circuit; and,

WHEREAS, Reverend Triplett is the leader of the world-renowned gospel group, Reverend Clement Trip ett and The Voices of Faith, who are best known for singing "The Lord Will Bless You"; and,

WHEREAS, Reverend Triplett won the Golden Globe Award in 1966 for the song he wrote, "Chilly Banks of Jordan"; and,

WHEREAS, Reverend Triplett has also devoted countless hours to such organizations including YMCA, CLC, and the International Reading Association, and is founder of the Sophist Club at Lincoln Univ rsity; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congrat lates Clement Triplett for his thirty-two years of dedicated service in the field of education and wishes him success and happiness in all of his futur...
