WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public Safety has awarded the Prosecuting Attorney's office a grant in the amount of $37,426.00 as funding for its Victim Services Volunteer Coordinator Program; and,

WHEREAS, this program serves crime victims; and,

WHEREAS, said grant is subject to a $7,795.00 local match for which a transfer and appropriation are necessary; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1999 Grant Fund:
