Body
WHEREAS, the County Legislature did, by Resolution 11553 of December 16, 1996, authorize a contract in the amount of $513,547.00 with Sysco Equipment and Furnishings Co. for food service equipment for the Jackson County Detention Center Annex; and,
WHEREAS, the Resolution authorized the County Executive to approve change orders not to exceed $26,000.00, for a maximum authorization of $539,547.00; and,
WHEREAS, two change orders have resulted in a reduction of the contract price to its current authorization of $509,442.00; and,
WHEREAS, all work contemplated by the contract has been completed and is acceptable to the County; and,
WHEREAS, final payment on the contract in the amount of $46,830.00 is now due; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that final payment in the amount of $46,838.00 to Sysco Equipment and Furnishings Co. on the contract for food service equipment for the Jackson County Detention Center Annex be, and is hereby, approved.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
