Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources has awarded grant funding to Jackson County in the amount of $54,450.00 under its Landmark Parks Program; and,

WHEREAS, as a requirement of this grant, the County must provide matching funds in the amount of $54,450.00; and,

WHEREAS, said funding shall be used for the 2.4 mile extension of the Little Blue Trace bicycle trail from R. D. Mize Road South to 39th Street; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1997 Grant Fund to cover the grant funded by the Landmark Parks Program administered by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources:
