RESOLUTION 12769, June 14, 1999

INTRODUCED BY Dan Tarwater, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, Franklin Tyler began working for Jackson County in 1992 as a legislative aide to Reverend James Tindall; and,

WHEREAS, in 1993, Franklin became a criminal investigator for the Prosecuting Attorney's office where he has been a dedicated worker and well respected among co-workers; and,

WHEREAS, Franklin is also considered trustworthy, dependable, and honest among his friends and fellow workers as well as a genuinely caring and loving human being; and,

WHEREAS, Franklin has been known to go above and beyond the call of duty, such as in the instance when former Prosecuting Attorney Claire McCaskill teasingly asked Franklin if he would police the glassed-in area of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office on Wednesdays so that people waiting in the hallway for court would stop putting their hand prints on the glass, and subsequently, because of her plea, Franklin has spent time every Wednesday morning making sure that the glass remained print free; and,

WHEREAS, Franklin is a member and serves as a trustee for Metropolitan Spiritual Church of Christ, and is also active in Freedom, Inc.; and,

WHEREAS, Franklin has been fortunate to be blessed with two sons and one wonderful grandson; and,

WHEREAS, admiration, respect, and warm friendship go out to Franklin for his dedicated service to Jackson County; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Franklin Tyler upon his seven years with Jackson County, and wishes him well in his retirement.
